Ok i am very confused?

i bought a portable blu ray player last month. its a panasonic b-100. its an awesome little player. the blu ray play back is amazing. i can definitely tell the difference from a dvd. but what i was wondering was that some blu ray discs like black swan, fight club, tangled, etc tell me that i need an upgrade. but the funny thing is the discs still play perfectly as if there were no warning at all. so what i'm wondering is should i upgrade to play higher resolution discs (my blu ray player is 1024x600 obviously less crystal clear than the 1080p players) or is there nothing to worry about. thank you =)Ok i am very confused?
"is should i upgrade to play higher resolution discs "

No. That portable player has a built-in screen with a fixed resolution. No firmware fix will improve anything.

But BluRay disks are really computer programs written in a language called BD-Java. Many of the menu and on-line features are still changing which is why they want you to update the player's firmware every so often as newer disks sometimes push the limit of odd features of the language.

Basic playback should still work, but you should look in your manual on how to upgrade the players firmware. This usually involves going to a website, downloading a patch file, burning to a CD-ROM and inserting this into the player and letting it's routines do the work.Ok i am very confused?
Does your player tell you what the upgrade is for? Sometimes it can be for online content.

In the end, as long as it's still playing and you still enjoy the imabe the player is producing, then I don't see a problem.Ok i am very confused?
I don't think there's anything to worry about as long as you're playing bluray dvd's in blueray dvd players! You're good!
