In love with my best friend?

I have a boyfriend, H, who I am very much in love with, and have been with for almost a year. I've known him for about 2 years and have liked him since I met him. We got together 2 years ago but shortly ended our fling as he didn't like me and had plenty of other women around. In my dramatic teenage melancholy, I befriended a boy who is now my best friend, A. We get along incredibly well and many people seem to think we're going out. Towards the end of last year A started going out with a girl and H (my now boyfriend) reformed his ways and became a brilliant boyfriend somehow. While we both have significant others, I know very well that A likes me. I've known this for a long time, however it was only in recent times that I came to discover how much.

He came to my house one night and told me that he loved me. He said that he's loved me since the day we met and he'd never change anything about me. I should probably mention that I have had feelings for him too but chose to keep them deeply hidden. We kissed. I know this really had to happen sooner or later, but now our feelings are out in the open and I'm not sure what to say to him. He knows that I love him very much as a friend and possibly romantically and the position we're in could potentially hurt many people. To be honest, I don't really know what my question is, but I'm interested in people's thoughts..In love with my best friend?I don't get why this is an issue??

You have a boyfriend who's a good boyfriend, but you love your best friend. Your best friend has a girlfriend, but he loves you?

Why don't you just both ditch your current partners and get together??

Besides, it's not fair on either your boyfriend or his girlfriend. You're both leading them on, and pretty much cheating on them in an emotional sense.

Girl, stop your suffering and be with the one you're meant to be with! I wish you both luck :) xIn love with my best friend?tell himIn love with my best friend?Aww, how nice! So am I.

I didn't bother to read the rest of that. You aren't thinking of breaking up?
