It seems to me that it's not much different than telling someone they need to wait for a specific time to take a dump. Still, that makes some sense in certain situations because you can't just poop where ever you want. Still, it's unnatural and harmful to be forced to hold it too long.
As a reasonable compromise, if you haven't had sex by 20 should you be allowed to have sex before marriage? Is asking someone to wait for marriage to have sex unnatural and harmful? It's called Self-control. I'm just amazed at how many people can't fathom that concept.
Personally, for me, sex is not about satisfying an urge, it's a way of expressing deep feelings with someone I love very much. Sex forever changes a relationship between you and another person. Why complicate things? Is asking someone to wait for marriage to have sex unnatural and harmful?
I was 20, so I think that's a fair deal, but I would say 18, as that is the age of legal adulthood. Before that I think is simply too young, and at that point, you're really not mentally ready for sex. Even if you think you are, you really aren't.
I don't think marriage should be a deciding factor on when you have sex anyway. Think of the many people who married young so they would be allowed to have sex. Some of the marriages lasted, but a lot of them ended in divorce. I think the whole "no sex before marriage" encourages people to marry young without giving much consideration of the consequences. Sex has its own consequences as well, but that's what education is for.Is asking someone to wait for marriage to have sex unnatural and harmful?Harmful? Probably not. Although personally I wouldn't marry anyone (and I didn't!) without having sex first, to insure we're physically compatible. I mean, what's the point of getting married (if you intend to just do it once, like me), then on the wedding night seeing your partner naked and saying, "Ew, uh, yuk. Wow, what have I gotten myself into..." That's just dumb.
Unnatural? Not really. Though it's "natural" for men to *want* to have sex with every woman they meet that they find attractive, we don't always get to...if you have to "relieve" your sexual tension, there's always mother thumb and her 5 daughters. No biggie.
Here's the thing: arbitrary "rules" that say NOBODY should have sex before marriage (or even one that says EVERYBODY should have sex before marriage) are just that -- arbitrary. Adults can make up their own minds, and decide for themselves. No need for a mythical god-thing to make up arbitrary rules, and say that anyone who breaks them is going to hell. People can decide things for themselves.
Peace, sex, and rock-n-roll.
It's uncommon, but not unnatural. What's unnatural is to produce tons of sperm without channeling it. See, nature has its own wise methods to distribute every kind of liquid it produces, from rivers to plants. We, humans, on the other hand tend to forcefully try continence once we realize how important the sperm is... however, it needs to be channeled trough breath and sublimation for non-sex periods not to be harmful. Is asking someone to wait for marriage to have sex unnatural and harmful?Unnatural yes....Harmful no. Most humans do have sex before marriage and uh the rest of the natural world doesn't put limitation on it. If you want to have healthy sex with a willing partner before marriage than do it! An all loving god will not damn you. However, if you have guilt than it may be psycholgically harmful if you do. Do what you think you should do.Is asking someone to wait for marriage to have sex unnatural and harmful?
Realize that when the bible was written, the typical marriage age was very shortly after a girl was menstrating. Probably around age 14-16. Not a lot of waiting required.
Many laws written down by those bronze age goat-herders make no sense today. But, they didn't have much knowledge about human sexuality, today's longer lifespans, or how much longer it takes us to get prepared to earn our own living and support a family.
There's no physical harm in it. That's just a line guys used to tell girls to trick them into having sex. You know full well that your pooping analogy is just that. If you haven't had sex by the time you are 20! Oh, that made me laugh!!!! I would suggest printing out a copy of this and saving it for another 20 years. I guarantee you will chuckle and reminisce fondly about impetuous youth. Is asking someone to wait for marriage to have sex unnatural and harmful?
I'd say so, yes. If sexual urges are not satisfied, they will nearly always be expressed in some other negative way (violence, religious zeal, oppression, agression, perversion, etc.) This is one of the reasons why societies with stronger social taboos are generally more oppressive. (Compare Saudi Arabia to Holland, for instance.) Religions the world over have created some truly neurotic societies simply by denying people sexual satisfaction.
It's just plain stupid to get married to someone when you don't know if they're good in the sack or not. What if they don't enjoy it, and turn about to be homosexuals? Then you have to go through all the trouble of getting divorced, splitting everything you own, etc, etc..
You should be allowed to have sex when your adult partner consents.
It is not unnatural or harmful. It is beautiful.
It is your own decision to wait till you are married .
If you have sex you are married. Marriage is an agreement to be sexual partners.
