What are some good reasons why same sex marriage should be allowed?

I am doing research on this topic and i believe that same sex marriage should be allowed, but I am looking for some good facts backed by research that can support my opinion. There is a bill of rights, there is a 14th amendment, there is a separation between church and state and an establishment clause, the pledge of allegiance states, "...liberty and justice for all"; denying us our equal rights in unconstitutional, no one should be treated as a second-class citizen, gay marriage isn't going to interfere with the institution of marriage or specific marriages between couples, it isn't going to be the downfall of this country, as 10 countries have gay marriage legalized and they haven't been punished by a so-called "wrath of God" nor changed at all; gay marriage had nothing to do with the downfall of the Roman Empire nor Grecian Empire, it is irrational beyond belief to deny people rights just because they don't want them using a certain word and would rather have them use terms like "civil unions", "domestic partnerships"; Christians advocate against gay-marriage when their Bible is misinterpreted to hate on gays and it's actually hypocritical in relevance to the message of their Christ, the one place it does condemn homosexuality- it also glorifies some sickening things and condemns some weird things, Jesus did however advocate against divorce and I don't see any Christians politically trying to put a stop to that; many straight couples divorce, while statistics show gay couples stay together longer...What are some good reasons why same sex marriage should be allowed?
Well, it seems that alot of people dont support not because of the marriage thing, but because they want additional rights on top of this.



i can't name anything specific, well, because my memory sucks, but i would look into what gays want additionally. not just marriage



as far as just the marriage proposal, many find it immoral. but who is to say it is immoral?



also in many states homosexual acts are illegal, (i would look into that as well), they just dont enforce it. what are the police going to do, break into your house and arrest you for homosexuality? thats against your rights soooo ya.
