How come heterosexuals choose to mate with opposite sex?

If the logic is that Homosexuality is a choice, then the implied premise is that sexuality can be controlled. Therefore, following the same line of thought, how come a heterosexual doesn't all of sudden chose to be a homosexual? Is there a section of society that has shunned heterosexual life in favor being gay as an adult?

i don't think i understand the question. by definition, heterosexuals have sex with people of the opposite sex. it's the definition, like i said. and they do it to make babies, reproduce.

Over time of course people can change, and may decide to experiment with different things, but as a whole, people do not, and cannot change their sexual orientation.

If that's the case.. As simple as i can put it, it's not a choice.. I don't see a heterosexual telling himself at puberty ''i choose to be attracted to the opposite sex''.. just like i, as a homosexual female never chose to be attracted to gurls .. That's just a homophobic ignorant response by heterosexuals who have no idea what it's like to be homosexual.. Can a person know what it's like to be something he's not? Of course not..
