A lot of people seem to think that Christianity is against sex (unless for procreation) but I would like to know the truth, is Christianity against recreational sex or not? I have a feeling it will be not.What role does sex play in your religion, or lack thereof?In Judaism, we understand that it's important to a relationship and the mental health of those involved. As such, it should be treated with respect. We have different ways of defining that, of course, but it's an important principle held by all of the Jewish movements.



One of my favourite wee things about the tradition is all the little folk customs which help ensure that the wives are satisfied as well as the husbands. In a time when daughters were a financial burden and sons very much needed that way, a folk custom (not law, very different) came up that if the woman receives her pleasure first, any child conceived will be male, if the man gets his first, the child will be a daughter. Sexist, yes, but using the sexism of the time for a not so sexist purpose. :-)What role does sex play in your religion, or lack thereof?

What role does sex play in your religion, or lack thereof?i'm an atheist. i think sex is important %26amp; shouldn't be done cuz you've both had too much booze..if you like somebody %26amp; think they'll be part of your future, GO FOR IT. i dont judge any of my friends who have one night stands though, i just myself think its gross LOL but hey its all about your own pleasure. i personally always have to wait 3 weeks AT THE VERY LEAST before i sleep with somebody, i'm just picky. religion obviously plays no role

as far i knw........in Christianity sex when used for bad purpose is prohibited...........odewise nt......(dis is jus as far i knw.)
It doesn't play any. Sex is a natural act of procreation and pleasure. It is totally irrelevant to religions unless it is employed in ceremonies as a symbolic act for fertility (e.g. Wiccan Great Rite). What I do in my bed has nothing to do with my Gods and my spirituality.
