What is the difference between Sex Offender and Sexual Predator?

If someone guilty after trying to solicit an underage minor (which happens to be undercover cops) and serves a sentence, then at the time of his release will he/she have to register as Sex Offender or Sexual Predator? Do both require to live far away from the presence of children (schools, playgrounds, churches) and will this affect their employment prospects with major companies?
