How do you determine the sex of a cockatiel?

i have two cockatiels. one is always wistleling and the other one just stays quite. Does this have to do anything with a cockatiels sex?How do you determine the sex of a cockatiel? The only sure way is to have a DNA test done. Not all colours of cockatiel are sexually dimorphic. Males will tend to sing and whistle more but this is not always true. Males will tend to be a little more stand-offish and females friendlier but again this is not always the case. You'll probably see eggs if you have a female and that could give you the answer for sure but not all females will lay eggs because they are either in the wrong conditions for breeding or there is no male present as was the case with my Grandmothers cockatiel. How do you determine the sex of a cockatiel?Male: Long dark tail underneath the other tails, yellow face.

Female: normal tails, no color on her face.
